Subject	New hydraulic lifters

Message	I am doing a full engine rebuild on my 93 non turbo. I have installed all 24 new lifters but i have a slight problem. There is about 1/16 of an inch clearance between the cam lobes and the lifters. This will surely make a lot of noise when i finally start the engine. I even turned one of the camshafts and the lobes smack the lifters making a loud noise. Is this a normal thing or do I have the wrong lifters. I got the lifters off ebay and they said that they should work for the vg30de and vg30dett. Is there a difference in the lifters between the two engines. Please help me with my situation.
